Sturdy, useful, worth owning
This large kettle has an enormous infusion basket that holds aproximately four cups of loose tea. As such it is excellent for making strong infusions in order to produce large quantities of refrigerated tea. I use it to make 3 gallons of refrigerated tea at a time with a double pass brew on a single basket containing seven heaping tablespoons of Chinese gunpowder green tea. The only problem is that the infusion basket mesh is a bit coarse requiring a fine mesh strainer to produce the final product if you do not care for a little sludge settling on the bottom of your cup.
