Disappointment
I would give this pan a zero if I could. I recently bought this pan in Germany from the Post Exchange and am disappointed with the quality. I followed the instructions and coated it with olive oil just like it said. I cooked everything like it said to, and it is the worst pan I have ever bought. I even called up my aunt who works at Sur la Table to see if there was anything that I could be doing wrong. No, it is just poor quality. My aluminum Bene Casa pan and 9 year old Revere ware non-stick pans are more non-stick. Looking across the surface of the pan, you can see the tiny, pore-like indentations. I have to agree with the first reviewer because I don't think that this company would have lasted as long with its reputation intact in Europe if the pans that they sell on the economy here were as bad.
Fantastic cookware
I don't know what happened to the pans of the other reviewers but I have three pieces of this cookware in various sizes and absolutely love it. For the first time I can cook without needing any oil at all unless I am adding it for flavor. Scrambled eggs this morning in my 8" pan and used nothing and they came out perfectly. Rinsed the pan with my instant hot water and a little soap and it came perfectly clean. I have had the 8" and 11" skillets for several months and they are my go to cookware along with my heirloom cast iron skillet. I use them every day.
Not what I had hoped for.
While stastioned in Germany I bought a set of WMF pots and pans, and two frying pans which I loved. I am very dissappointed in the two I bought as they stick, no matter how I prepare the pan. The ones bought in Germany lasted and lasted and never stuck, but these new ones were sticking from the first use which leads me to believe that the exported, expensive product is not the same quality you get in Germany. I'm very dissappointed, and won't buy them again.
